Silent Writing Party is a community event meant to inspire creative writers. It's difficult to find the time, space, and motivation to write: This low-pressure event provides it.
An introvert's dream! Bring the writing instrument of your choice (laptop? pen and paper? quill and scroll?) and settle down for three hours of uninterrupted writing time. While this event celebrates NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), any and all writers of all genres and ages are welcome to join. Local novelist and Writing Education Specialist Sharma Shields will be there to write alongside of you and provide writing resources. You can drop in for a short stay or for the entire session: Up to you!
By attending library programs, you are agreeing to potentially appear in photos/videos taken at our locations that may be used in promotional materials including social media.
We strive to make events welcoming for people of all abilities. To request accommodations (i.e. hearing assistance, ASL requests, or other ADA inquiries), call the library at 509-444-5340.
