A panel discussion featuring voices of individuals who fled the conflict in Ukraine to seek safety and a new life here in Spokane
Join us for a poignant panel discussion featuring individuals from Ukraine, many of whom fled the conflict that erupted roughly a year and a half ago. As Russia's attack on Ukraine displaced countless Ukrainians, Spokane has become a sanctuary for many seeking refuge. This event offers a unique opportunity to hear firsthand accounts of those who experienced the turmoil and the challenges of starting anew in Spokane.
This event is organized in collaboration with Thrive International, a Spokane-based organization dedicated to welcoming refugees, providing them with temporary housing, and connecting them with essential resources. Their mission ensures that refugees not only find safety but also have the tools to thrive independently in their new community.
Join us in extending a warm welcome to our panelists and deepening our understanding and empathy for the Ukrainian community in Spokane.
