Join us for the 32nd annual Artistry in Wood Show - featuring regional wood carvings and an exhibition of woodturning. The public is encouraged to attend this free open-house-style event.
In partnership with the Spokane Public Library, Spokane Carvers Association is hosting the 32nd annual presentation of Artistry in Wood, a juried show of regional wood carvings and an exhibition of woodturning. There is no admission charge, and the public is encouraged to attend!
Special events over the weekend include woodturning demonstrations, carving demonstrations and classes, free advice, an exciting raffle and silent auction of fine tools, beautiful exotic woods, books, artworks, and more, plus a retrospective from award-winning Featured Artist, carver Jerry Poindexter.
Want to register your carvings?
The juried show is open to all carvers from throughout the U.S. and Canada. Carvers may register their carvings for the show in-person on Friday, September 29 between 3:30 and 6:30 pm at the Hive. Carvers at all skill levels are invited to register their carvings for show or for sale.
To register for your work to be judged and eligible for ribbons and ranking, carvings must be no older than 2 years old and the cost is $6.00/carving entered at the door; any carvers 16 and younger may enter the junior skill level for no charge to qualify for ribbons. Carvings, wood turnings and other wood working projects may be entered for exhibit only for no charge.
