Five local authors with varying publication backgrounds will discuss the creation of their books and answer audience questions about self-publishing, agents, and more.
Publication can be a mystifying process. Five accomplished local authors, including Donell Barlow, Chelsea Martin, Sharma Shields, and Alexis M. Smith, will attempt to demystify the vast world of book publishing. Topics will include self-publishing, literary journals, printers, agents, book design, marketing, indie presses, traditional presses, and much more. After short introductions to panelists' works and experiences, the event will open up to audience questions. This will be an informative event for anyone interested in publishing a book.
This panel is made possible by Spokane Arts in partnership with Spokane Public Library.
