Join us for our first-ever Riverside Chats with 2023 Lemony Snicket Prize winner, Denise Neujahr! Every month you'll get to know our region's do-gooders, newsmakers, and rebels.
Join us for the inaugural event of our monthly series, Riverside Chats! This month, we're thrilled to welcome our first guest, Denise Neujahr, the distinguished recipient of the 2023 Lemony Snicket Prize for Noble Librarians Faced with Adversity.
Denise's unwavering commitment to providing safe and supportive spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ teens, even in the face of opposition and personal attacks, embodies the spirit of what Riverside Chats aims to spotlight - the do-gooders, newsmakers, and rebels of our community.
Our Current Affairs Specialist, Shane Gronholz, will sit down with Denise to explore her journey, discuss the experiences that shaped her advocacy, and delve into what drives her dedication to her work and community.
And we want to hear from you! Who are the do-gooders, newsmakers, and rebels you'd like to spotlight? Suggest someone for Shane to interview next! Drop us a line or chat with Shane about guests you'd like to see at Riverside Chats at currentaffairs@spokanelibrary.org.
Mark your calendars for an engaging and enlightening conversation with Denise Neujhar.
