Join former Artist-In-Residence Julie Smetana for an art exhibit and artist talk showcasing her work created at The Hive®.
Working in clay can be rewarding and frustrating. Former Artist-In-Residence Julie Smetana created her sculptures with both in mind.
During her residency at The Hive®, Julie created many pieces of pottery - some successful, others with broken pieces. Whether she chose to repair the broken pieces or start with a fresh piece of clay, a lot of experimentation went into each stage of creation.
Join Julie for the culmination of her residency including an art exhibit and artist talk! She'll dive into the struggles she encountered during her creative process along with the successes she celebrated. Enjoy the art exhibit from 5:30-6pm. The artist talk will begin at 6pm.
Julie's exhibit is located on the first-floor gallery (across from New Leaf Cafe); the artist talk will be in Events B, also on the first floor.
