Join us to hear stories about Lunar New Year and do some fun crafts! Children under 8 should be accompanied by a caregiver. This event will be followed by family dragon dance lessons and more at 11am!
Lunar New Year is celebrated all over the world by many cultures. This year, the celebration begins on January 22. Each lunar year is tied to one of twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. This year is the Year of the Rabbit.
We'll read stories about Lunar New Year and do crafts and activities related to the celebration.
The whole family is invited! Children under 8 should be accompanied by a caregiver.
This event will be followed by the following Lunar New Year festivities:
11am: Family dragon dance lessons
12pm: Asian cooking demonstrations
1pm: How to make Sushi presented by students in the Spokane Public Schools Culinary Program
