Help The Hive® Artists-In-Residence Lisa Soranaka and Mallory Battista create a public sculpture for Spokane!
Come be a part of making a public sculpture! Hive Artists-In-Residence Lisa Soranaka and Mallory Battista are inviting the community to come make clay tiles to be included in the large mosaic sculpture they are building during their 6-month residency at The Hive®. They are hoping to install the sculpture on North Monroe at the base of the Garland hill next year. "Sun Shine Through" is a cloud-shaped sculpture covered in a mosaic design of a sun with rain on one side and a rainbow on the other, symbolizing hope and diversity and our community shining through difficult times together. The mosaic will be made up of a mix of stained glass and handmade tiles created with the community. Come make a tile or two for this colorful public sculpture!
