A special guest will join us to read a new book about Spokane's Waste to Energy program and we'll make a mason bee house with recycled materials! See full description for important information.
The Spokane Solid Waste to Energy facility has just put out a children's book all about how our city processes and reuses waste. The author will read the book and then we'll make mason bee houses for these solitary bees from recycled materials.
Visit the Library starting Monday, February 28th, to pick up a kit containing supplies, including your own copy of the book! Ask for the kit at the information desk. Supplies are limited. For each mason bee house, please save an empty 16.9 ounce plastic bottle (or similar size).
Technology requirements: You will need a device or computer with an internet connection and the Chrome browser, microphone and speakers to participate.
