We'll catch up with the Mars Rover Perseverance and its helicopter Ingenuity in this monthly series of space-themed learning events. Today we'll see how Perseverance and Ingenuity have been doing, as well as China's Mars Rover. We'll create our own paper helicopters and see a demonstration of how core samples are taken using candy bars and a clear straw!
Supplies to have on hand for each participant: a piece of regular paper (white or any lighter color), a piece of construction paper or cardstock (any lighter color), scissors, a pencil, a ruler, and a few paperclips.
