We'll explore apples using books, videos, and several hands-on activities. We'll explore an apple with our senses and then dissect it. We'll use the scientific method to investigate how apple browning can be inhibited. We'll learn about apple varieties and the Lost Apple Project right here in Eastern Washington, as well as take a video tour of an apple farm.
You'll want to have a few apples on hand (different varieties might be fun!), and adults or older siblings should be on hand to help with cutting. Please also have paper and pencil, a ruler or tape measure, and anything else you think might be useful to investigate apples!
