We'll learn about Mt. St. Helens and watch a volcano cake erupt! We will learn about the eruption and its impact on the area of Mt. St. Helens as well as Spokane. We'll learn how the area has recovered life and whether it is likely to erupt again.
Supplies to have on hand: Paper and coloring supplies.
OPTIONAL: You don't need to make your own volcano cake, you can just watch us erupt ours! But if you want to make your own volcano cake, there are two versions at this site: Volcano Cake Demonstration and Be a Volcano Movement Activity - Free
Register to participate and you will receive an email with a link with instructions on how to participate before the event. Only one registration per family/computer is necessary.
Technology requirements: You will need a device or computer with an internet connection and the Chrome browser, microphone, and speakers to participate.
