Join Elyse from Spokane Zero Waste to learn how to make seed bombs and discuss top topics in zero waste today!
Spokane Zero Waste is pleased to participate in Earth Day with the Library. Join in this presentation where we'll make seed bombs! What better way to celebrate the Earth than to sprinkle around a bit of her color and beauty while assisting our pollinators? And those pollinators will be busy as we head into the growing season. Elyse will demonstrate some ways to keep your veggies fresher longer. We'll discuss some of the top topics in zero waste today.
Supplies needed for seed bombs: Large mixing bowl or closed-bottomed planting pot, a measuring scoop of some sort, native wildflower seeds or ornamentals, water, compost, and a little bit of clay. Bentonite and red clay are in the bulk section at Huckleberries. You can also use a terra cotta clay from a potters supply. You may want to grab some cheese cloth and cotton string if you plan on transporting these or giving them as gifts.
