An Inland Northwest Poetry Salon Event

An associative poetry reading with renowned past and present EWU faculty and award-winning poets Polly Buckingham, Christopher Howell, Jonathan Johnson, and Nance Van Winckel.

Certain traditional poetry salons involve a handful of poets reading their poems associatively and thematically based off of the previously read poem, creating a dynamic that can't be captured in a more standard reading. This salon represents past and present faculty from Eastern Washington University, including award-winning poets Polly Buckingham, Christopher Howell, Jonathan Johnson, and Nance Van Winckel.

This is one of eleven poetry events occurring at the first annual Inland Northwest Poetry Salon on June 1st.

This first-annual, day-long event at the Liberty Park Library (402 S. Pittsburg Street) will feature panels, poetry workshops, and a bevy of local writers. The Inland NW Poetry Salon celebrates the craft of poetry, spotlights regional poets, and welcomes participants in all phases of their writing lives.
